Mafia Wars Strategies

I been playing this game for about six months and have arrived at the level of 255 ( approximately)
Except for a few episodes with some aggressive players its gone fairly smoothly .
I dunno if what i have did was the "right" strategy or not but i did some jobs in new york and as soon as i was able to , i started in both cuba and moscow, did a few job tiers and started the businesses there using fighting money to buy into all the businesses there and start accumulating money.
I almost always fight in cuba and moscow as after robbing was taken out of the game money became unimportant in new york and have accumulated millions in all locations in the bank to buy weaponry and whatever is needed to buy to do the jobs in the secondary locations.
Zynga is not always friendly to me escpecially with gifting and loot drops but my connection here is sometimes erratic- have tried both ie and google chrome and find chrome does not freeze on me like ie did but doesnt get the posts on the live feed as fast as ie.
I have never bought any reward points with cash or cc and for a player like me doing the jobs and businesses in this progression has worked ok

i have never invested money in this game.....some ppl spend a lot of money to buy GF points just to level up or to increase A&

Also go back through "discussions" on your [BUR] site as the godfather and others have listed many "suggestions", and use the MW Forum. and "google" specific questions.

Like life, the answers are there, but you have to seek them, no one delivers them to your door unasked.

I've pretty much done the same as you have. Started it NY, went to Cuba then Moscow. I'm almost done with the 3rd tier in Moscow, then I'm going to go back and finish NY. My Big question to everyone is the 2 big $$$ Acheviments. I'm currently making 108 mill an hour (2+ billion a day) and have over 178 billion in cash. Should I just keep letting it grow or invest more into properties till I reach 500 mill etc. per hour.

[b]I'm a very patient person most of the time but waiting for the energy to build back up causes me to spend my money to help it along. I've been playing for about 6 to 7 months now (I'm at level 436) even after several rollbacks. I started with the majority of my points going to defense and energy. This I think helps to stop so much of your money being lost while you're not watching or playing the game (sleeping, working, eating, etc.) Buy as many of the Mafia Mike's as you can, this really generates more money and can't be robbed (if they ever bring that back). Not sure which you have (properties or rackets) but either way use them wisely (if you have the rackets, put your points in that to generate wealth and exp). Finish New York as soon as possible and use this to heal (it's the cheapest hospital around). John, Also try Mozilla firefox as your browzer and see how that works! When I first started i would be considered your energy/stamina player. I found as I grew the fights loss was greater. I then learned how important A & D was and that the weapons were just a small part of the equation. I completed all tiers of NY first, But Cuba did not exist. I will say that every player should complete the BOSS level of new york as soon as possible. The reason is simple. DOUBLE ENERGY gained. Meaning if you normally gain 200 energy in a certain time period, You will gain 400 in that same time. Every profile I have does this. I don't believe anyone in That has not finished NY or Cuba should be playing Moscow. Moscow requires to much energy, and the loot drops are slow. Also remember for ever Job tier completed 3 times you get special bonuses and weapons. NY tiers saves time and helps on your money flow. Cuba gives top weapons after finishing the tiers. Cuba has great loot drops also. Remember that each job level and tier also give you an additional skill point. So if you continuously play the same job over and over, you may be getting that loot but you will not get the skill points.

example:
lets look at Cuba first tier "El Soldado"

There are 10 jobs in this tier, they are relatively low energy requirements. there are 3 levels of the job to complete. That means that there is 30 skill points available for completing the jobs and 3 skill points for each of the level of that tier. That means a total of 33 skill points available.

If your have not completed NY and Cuba, The only thing you should have going in Moscow is the taxi business. To collect the money for when ready.

Regarding the big money achievements that is in question. They are planned for the long term player. I bought my property till I found it was no longer reasonable to buy any more. I bought my property as to there value. Do not buy the 1 mega casino and get say 400,000 pay out, if you can Buy 20 Marina Tourist Shops for less cash and get more 500,000 Just because the payout is less does not mean that it's not worth buying.

example:

I own
Valu-Mart
+$10,000 (x1404 Owned)

Mega Casino
+$300,000 (x519 Owned)

The 2 pay me the same in the end and the cost were equal to buy.

Depending on the character you chose depends on how much each cost and there increase cost and value. In worries of robbing. Yes they are coming back. But if you keep enough to rebuild it is still the a good value. People would complain they were constantly repairing. those people had low A & D I was robbed very little due to strength. the pay out is much greater than the robbing you will incur. I stopped when buy property when I reached $485,959,685 as a hourly payout. anything more was making me wait. a couple months to regain what I was paying. I am now letting it build. I have not bought property since the first of December. I now have $534,341,833,011 and should have my first trillion by the first of march.

Heck, when is robbing coming back?! I hate robbing! I just think there is so much more to this game than just robbing and even the killing... yeah its not real, I know that. It just seems that building a mafia empire, collecting items, trying to build a strong united family and being able to withstand attacks is a lot of the game itself. I also just live discovering each new level and what kind of loot I might pick up. I guess I don't have that "killer" instinct . The robbing just seems like the strong taking from the weak. i'd rather be a Robin hood than a "hood". Guess i wouldn't make a very good real mafia gal

I was just wondering if there was a better way or if any one had some different things that worked for them. Just curious . I started in New York 68 Days ago and decided that i would finish that first, but its hard to stay there because of the different stuff in the other city's. Like a kid in a candy store. LOL I did not want to get all strung out every where at once. O'Uh one other thing i did ask you to be a friend,GODFATHER,& Virtuoso , so Y'all Get with it WOO HOO..

Billy Jack I use Firefox all the time. I tried Google a few times but seems to erratic to me. ie is a no-win browser don't used it unless you have to. Firefox is easy to delete your cache every 30 minutes or less too. I even downloaded Google Chrome Beta yesterday and it was not working correctly either so I went back to Firefox.

I'll share one with you. I attack players in my Players update Box. If I am a another players Capo and they made money off them then I attack them too, to see what they got left or maybe they got themselves healed by then and I can kill them too. It don't cost much to check them out only 1 stamina anyways. Also They are in my level too most of the time or lower. In my fight pages I am always up against higher leveled players it seems to me and also most stronger players are at the top listed there too. I used to pick only on 501's and that used to work for me but, after a while the computer seen I was winning all the fights so it put me against those stronger players so I have to fool the algorithms and trick it to thinking I am new again. It works too. So after fighting several players in my players update box i go back to Cuba or Moscow and fight and the players are now back down to my level again. Also just because you do not see the yellow attack link there after a fight does not mean you can't keep attacking them. If they are not killed then they are still alive so, click on their yellow name and go back to the attack page for them and attack till you get a killed pop-up or the loot drops stop. Then move to the next player. also attack people who will ask their mafia to attack you cos that will cause many to attack you in their mafia to please their mafia boss and they will not check first to see if they have any cash in their cash and most of the time they will lose many before they realize it to you. Then you have more prospects that hour to attack and make money that way. I done it so why wouldn't they? And they do it all the time I attack the largest leveled players I can find and I ask my mafia to attack only after I have attacked them. That makes them furious too and they will come after me but, I always get more from their friends than I lose to that one player always.

All i can say here is even if we have shared our best approaches it was u to follow the way to find out the jackpot. I was a big energy spender first n later i realized the priority of increasing A&D. Regarding getting consumables , i used to get 'em whenever i had energy pack ready (nearly i have 1k energy). Inorder to do more jobs with fresh energy pack, demote ur mastermind and then go on. don't forget to promote him back when ur done. I still using energy pack to get consumables and weapons for our friends, coz i have done with the NY *the biggest and toughest shit in Mw*.
